Jonathan is responsible for digital commissioning strategy, production policy and editorial oversight for MTV Entertainment Group brands, working closely with international stakeholders and senior leaders to guide digital content production in priority markets. I managed the presenters and producers, whilst being in charge of compiling the daily show and directing the studio broadcast. From the show’s launch to late 2009 I was the Studio Producer, driving the desk for Jamie and Harriet and making editorial decisions throughout the show, as well as covering for the director.I was largely responsible for preparing the daily show, which included forward planning, writing scripts and producing and editing audio. This also involved working closely with the Commercial Programming team to deliver exciting and entertaining content for clients and listeners.Duties also included managing guest bookings, writing, producing and editing interviews, and compiling showbiz scripts.I pride myself on the strong relationships I built at Heart; with Jamie and Harriet, my colleagues on the team and throughout the company, and my network of excellent contacts in PR, TV, Film, Music and Theatre.

I regularly scheduled music for all shows on the Heart Network – the UK’s biggest commercial radio brand, reaching more than 7.5 million people a week.I am a highly experienced user of RCS Selector XV and deputised for the Head of Music when he was away. This role also included contributing to playlist meetings, liaising with record company contacts and working closely with queries from the 32 other Heart stations outside London.

I spent a unique and exciting seven weeks as the ‘Galaxy 102 Fugitive’. I was on the run across the North West, appearing on-air “in character” ten times a day to provide clues to my location and wind-up listeners, all in order to drive listening!

I scheduled all the mainstream music hours on the station, headed up weekly playlist meetings and was the primary point of contact for record companies. I also helped presenters produce their shows, made promotional/show trails and produced and later presented the ‘Brighton Buzz Chart’.I presented Saturday Breakfast, the ‘Brighton Buzz Chart’ and was the Primary Swing Presenter. I also produced and provided technical operation for many diverse outside broadcasts.

I headed up the student radio station for the University of Sussex. Instrumental in a major LPAM re-launch, I initiated and produced new on - and off - air branding and promotions and presented and produced a wide-range of shows.

I worked closely with a number of presenters, producing and tech-opping various live and pre-recorded shows. I also transferred the music database onto Selector and problem-solved with Master Control XV.

Based for a time in New York, I produced, wrote, edited and scheduled content for the UK and Australian teen sites, gaining a great deal of transferable skills.
