Responsible for the training and mentorship of over 37 crewmembers and door gunners; also the upkeep of their individual Aircrew Training records. Directly responsible for the implementation of the organization’s Aircrew Training Program. Developed and implemented a training plan for conducting helicopter firefighting utilizing the CH-47F. Recipient of a 1,000 hour safety award for completing 1,000 accident free hours on the CH-47F. Experienced in the removal, installation, and troubleshooting of all aircraft components and sub-components. Acquired vast experience in build-up and tear-down of the aircraft due to multiple deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan. Assigned as Lead Supervisor of a team of over 250 personnel responsible for the teardown, transportation, and build-up of 14 CH-47F helicopters from Ft. Campbell, KY trough Rota, Spain and on to Bagram, Afghanistan. Served overseas as the company standards instructor while also conducting duties as the Flight Company supervisor. Daily duties included the implementation of standards, overall operational readiness of the aircraft and their availability for missions, crew selection, and organizing and publishing flight schedules. Conducted and supervised the troubleshooting, maintenance operational checks and services on the assigned MH-47E. Certified to troubleshoot, and employ the M-240B, and the M-134 Mini-gun. Supervised a team of 5 or more crewmembers, and 5 maintenance personnel on scheduled and unscheduled maintenance. Trained and performed all Special Operations crewmember duties and stayed current and qualified in all aspects of flight during day, night and Night Vision goggles missions. Selected over 9 other peers to become a special operations flight engineer, demonstrating my technical and tactical proficiency needed. Recipient of a 1,000 hour safety award for completing 1,000 accident free hours on the MH-47E. Supervised the teardown, buildup and successful transportation of one MH-47E to Queensland, Australia for a Joint Training Exercise with the Australian Army Chinook aviators. Maintained 100% accountability of the assigned MH-47E and all assigned equipment valued in excess of $80 million.
