The Low Impact Hydropower Institute (LIHI) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to reducing the impacts of hydropower generation through the certification of hydropower projects that have avoided or reduced their environmental impacts pursuant to the Low Impact Hydropower Institute’s criteria.

Facilitated the growth of Gravity Renewables, Inc.'s hydropower portfolio through acquisitions and new development. Optimizing the economic and environmental performance of the portfolio while maintaining compliance with social, environmental and regulatory standards.Corporate Management Team member and head of the Business Development team, responsible for the origination and acquisition activities on 16 hydropower projects over seven years. Managed an interdisciplinary team in all aspects of diligence, transaction negotiations and deal structuring. Played a key role in the parallel advancement of critical commercial agreements associated with placing the products of the acquisition targets, owned and third-party assets under long term, above market contracts.Developed, managed and led implementation of regulatory and policy strategies necessary to ensure compliance with complex state and federal requirements, including seven concurrent FERC relicensing proceedings and subsequent new license implementation programs.Participated in key energy policy advocacy efforts leading to the creation or expansion of programmatic commercial opportunities for the portfolio, and industry at large, including the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, Inflation Reduction Act and several state-level Renewable Portfolio Standards and renewable energy tariffs.. Successfully secured over $20MM in federal funding under Sections 243 and 247 of the EPAct of 2005.
