Enabling business success by developing and maintaining a holistic approach to information security/cybersecurity, enterprise risk management, and data privacy is my top priority as a Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). I approach information security with a business enablement mindset, ensuring that our security measures not only mitigate risks but also align with the operational needs of the business. My leadership philosophy is grounded in building and maintaining a strong team and a commitment to fostering a resilient security culture at all levels of the organization. During my tenure as CISO, I have led enterprise-wide initiatives that addressed Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery strategies and practices; Identity & Access Management policy development, procedures, and oversight; and, moving a workforce of 2,000+ FTEs and10,000+ contract professionals from an in-office environment to a fully-remote, then hybrid workplace. Over that tenure, the Information Security team has grown almost tenfold in size to a team that now operates in five continents with multiple operational units. Beyond my professional roles, I'm also a passionate supporter of the arts - particularly instrumental music both as a player (bass trombone), and by serving as the Vice President of Public Affairs for the Charles J. Colgan High School Band Boosters from 2019-2023, actively promoting the various ensembles in the band program and contributing to community engagement.I am always eager to connect with other professionals who share a passion for information security, risk management, and business enablement. Or, other professionals who may also share a passion for the trombone or band music in general.
