Served as Case Manager and Specialist, then moving into the interim Manager role when several department administrators went on leave. Executed the duties and responsibilities of three levels of the organization while supporting several areas of need including student academics, transportation services, budgetary planning, invoicing, and others. Successfully filled those roles until the new coordinator was hired and current leadership team returned.

I assumed the role of Embedded Instructional and Behavior Management Specialist in 2013. In this role, I served as passionate advocate for educational excellence and demonstrated a fervent commitment to enhance the learning experience through enhanced classroom technology and program implementation. Also, I facilitated in assessing children behavior, diagnosing behavior or emotional issues, recommending behavioral therapy services, and making suggestions for improving academic performance. Lastly, I developed and implemented effective and engaging instructional courses and programs to achieve top performance levels, involving strategic techniques to relate educational concepts to “real world” practical applications. Devised and implemented comprehensive guidance program for transitioning students to a lesser restricted classroom setting. Earned recognition from students, parents, management, and peers as a disciplined and insightful educator that cultivates meaningful connections with students to stimulate a dynamic and exciting classroom environment. Remained school’s summer program’s Principal for seven years as well as created Star Ratings Program for Special Education Programs at district level. Singlehandedly led and managed Inclusive Practices and Cultural Responsiveness Initiative as board member for Silver Spring Day School.  Designed and implemented a Self-Service Program for school leaders following the Least Restrictive Environment Designation for students

I was appointed as a Math Department Leader and Classroom Teacher in 2009 and here, I contributed towards developing lesson plans, modifying curricula, and selecting instructional techniques after determining the objectives of courses. My tasks included collaborating with parents, related teachers, school administration, and other stakeholders to ensure academic success as well as overall wellbeing and development of children. I also developed and implemented differentiated lessons and assessments based on students’ interest/ability, prior learning experience, and current level of understanding of a particular topic. I used to teach and instruct students of Hamilton Academy and E.L. Haynes PCS. Lastly, I utilized up-to-date technological tools and provided project-based learning opportunities to students, assuring real-world application of learning targets. Played a vital role in student’s success and performance by building strong rapport and bond with students, resulting in increased confidence and trust.  Trained and mentored colleagues in applying positive behavior support strategies and on technology usage while serving as a teacher-leader within mathematics department. Presented at CEC Conference on topics of behavior and education support.Additional Experience:Classroom Teacher and Coach, Baltimore County Public Schools | Overlea High School

Lead teacher responsible for reading and math lessons. Also included therapeutic interventions and social skills in daily lessons. As case manager, I was responsible for IEP creation and updating as well as fostering family involvement with the students' education.
