A big change in my life: I'm working with long-term friends and colleagues from the city to build a brand new IT services company: www.mcl.uk.com. What makes this special is that we are staffed with a minimum of 50% neurodivergent colleagues, including company leadership. The whole venture is being built in close collaboration with the amazing people at Propel (https://www.masonfoundation.co.uk/propel/).All our IT services will be accompanied by and supported with our bespoke training and coaching for employers and neurodivergent and neurotypical staff. This training is curated and delivered by our inspiring colleagues at Propel.Our initial focus will be on AI and AI data readiness, development, BI, automation, IT security/cyber, and IT support/help desk. New position created in response to the 'new' regulatory risk and IT risk environment faced by HSBC. Reporting to the CIO for Global Banking &Markets (GBM) and was responsible for: - Operational ownership of all HTS GBM systems supporting the GBM business globally, 24/7. 1000+ systems, multi-billion PBT business. Systems cover all FM businesses (Credit, Rates, Equities, FX, Derivatives, Commodities), plus Finance and Product Control, Security Services, Global Banking, Regulatory Reporting and Asset Management; - Responsible for 900-1,000 staff, forming a Production Services ‘horizontal’ serving the GBM business-aligned IT function heads globally. Staff in 10 global locations, Including Murex CoE and Calypso CoE, 60% Offshore, $100M+ direct budget; - For the GBM CIO, owning the IT Risk agenda – demystifying risk framework, key cross department risk initiatives (e.g. Control of Privileged Access, Raising the Bar on Quality, Segregation of Duties), running Risk and Control committees, HTS GBM representative on various global risk committees (COO Information Security Risk, GBM COO Risk Management Meeting etc.), responsible for IT RIsk content of responses to external auditors and regulators on GBM IT Risk.
