As the Senior Director of Financial Analytics (an FP&A function) for Full Sail University, Jonathan works closely with and serve as a key resource to the CFO and CIO of Full Sail and provides analysis and insight for the Boards of Directors, owners and broader executive teams. Concentration is focused on producing consolidated financial reporting, business analytics across the schools to facilitate and drive the growth of each institution and the sharing of best practices across the portfolio. Additionally, Jonathan oversees the development of a more analytical, metrics-oriented financial modeling platform.Jonathan additional supports the compliance and regulatory reporting requirements for the DOE, federal, state and accreditor. Jonathan is a leader across the institution driving efforts in data literacy, cross-departmental projects, process automation, and AI ML adoption. Tools & Skills utilize for success: Financial Modeling, Scenario Analysis and Proforma Financial Statements with Workday, Workday Adaptive Planning, OfficeConnect and Excel. Advanced visualizations are created using Tableau (Tableau Desktop & Tableau Server), Excel and Power Point. Data Wrangling is conducted via SQL DML, Microsoft SQL Server, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), and unstructured data sources. Research and data analysis is supported with Graduate level academic studies in descriptive, prescriptive and predictive statistics; including use of statistical modeling (multivariate linear regression, logistic, Time Series, sensitivity, smoothing, mean distribution, etc.) using R, SAS JMP and other AI ML products. Automation is conducting with Python and Excel.

My goal is to ensure optimization of profitability within all of BCK’s lines of business. I achieve this goal by leading the development of: business intelligent tools, data management, predictive analytics, econometric driven models, statistical based business study’s and report development. My scope of work spans across our entire suite of sales driven divisions with additional partnership within finance and accounting. Finally, I oversee company-wide logistics and supply chain channels with particular focus on effective inventory management. I have a biased approach towards data; this requires me to blend technical skills with business driven results. I enjoy working with large raw data set’s that ultimately can tell, and even better, predict future behavior. I’ve taken a keen interest into consumer behavior which I’ve demonstrated the ability to forecast promotional, seasonal and marketing sales results. Tools & Skills I utilize for success: Graduate level academic studies in descriptive, prescriptive and predictive statistics; including use of regression modeling for forecasting and trend analysis. 11+years of increasing utilization of database and spreadsheet modeling; comfortable navigating within a database environments such as: SQL, Oracle and MS Access. A through communicator effective at choosing the best visual aids (Metrics, charts, graphs and presentations) while showing a aptitude towards speaking in front of executives, large audiences and technical/non-technical subject matter experts. Finally, a true paradigm shiftier by bringing innovative and out-of-the-box ideas to address predicted risk from my business analysis.

As the Business System Analyst, I provided the best Business Intelligence (BI) to multiple lines of stakeholders within LMG, Inc through the utilization of Microsoft Dynamics, dynamic reporting and other operational applications. This Includes being a leader of process improvement initiatives for Corporate Accounting teams with specializations in AP, AR, Payroll and general accounting. Additional support in reporting efforts for Human Resources is also provided. This role leads efforts in defining current problems/needs and creatively find solutions through collaboration with SME’s (subject matter experts). Projects: In support of HR , capture ACA complaince data to ensure the organization meet ther requirements. Design and implement a database table and HR interface to capture and store this info for future reporting needs.-In support of payroll, streamlined the data connection between the time keeping system and corporate accounting system (ERP). The immediate impact will allow for a more robust data collection for improved labor analysis. -In support of Sales and AR teams, I led our efforts to automate our sales tax calculations for customer quoting and invoicing. This includes designing database (SQL & Oracle) and user interfaces for both systems R2 and Navision -Pioneered the use of Jet Reports, a BI tool, which has provided continued ROI by eliminating the on-going use of accounting staff to manually prepare reports weekly/monthly; estimated labor hour savings of 5-10 hpw. FInally, I led the project in taking on perm Microsoft Dynamics to Cloud based.
