I am a Ph.D. student in Mass Communications at the S.I. Newhouse School. My areas of interest include social and group psychology, most notably how in-group/out-group mentalities affect interpretation of and reaction to adverse and crisis information. My research is intended to improve the way organizations, companies, and governments reach out to crisis-affected stakeholders, and to better understand and equip communicators to effectively and positively recover in post-crisis/post-tragedy scenarios.

My position includes maintaining and updating core program standards and Student Learning Outcomes (SLOs) to fit with accreditation criteria. I am also tasked with maintaining academic and attendance supervision over a student body of some 400 ESL students at one of the largest and oldest university-affiliated English Language Programs in the country.

As head announcer and part of the social media communications team at the Bronson Speedway, I have been tasked with managing the connection of the track with our race fans, both during and between race events. During my tenure at Bronson, I have overseen the computerization of all driver records, the integration of a digital entertainment system to improve the on-site experience of our fans, and the cultivation of a large and growing social media presence for the track.
