JONATHAN COOPER has spent most of his career as a trial lawyer. He has tried a variety of cases involving allegations of breach of contract, trademark infringement, breach of warranty, securities fraud, theft of trade secrets, and products liability to verdict or judgment. With over 25 years of trial experience, he has appeared before state and federal courts in California, Colorado, Georgia, Florida, Indiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, Mississippi, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas and Wisconsin.Early in his career, Jonathan tried everything from “fender benders” to landlord-tenant disputes. As time went by, the matters became more complicated: products liability cases, trade secret disputes, business disputes, and alleged securities fraud. Jonathan looks at every engagement as essentially a problem to be solved. He knows that good solutions can come only from careful listening to clients, learning the parameters (cost, timing, resources, exposure, etc.), and—especially—understanding clients’ goals and how they define “success.”Jonathan has completed his certification in Legal Process Improvement, an application of LEAN and Six Sigma concepts to the practice of law. Jonathan lives by Lake Erie with his wife and son and dog Mr. Peabody. He is a former competitive triathlete. He still tries to run and ride as much as work and family allow.
