CurrentPlan, direct, and coordinate the work of the IT staff in all areas of information technology including application development and maintenance, server, database, desktop and network infrastructure, backup, business continuity, and customer support.Oversee design, development, implementation, change management, and maintenance of case management and other court applications and assist in the development, implementation and maintenance of these systems. Plan for and implement new applications and technologies.Assess needs, specify, select, and acquire new and replacement hardware,software, IT-related services including hardware break-fix, and vendor suppliedsoftware support. Assess needs, specify, select, acquire, andimplement or replace server and desktop operating systems and databasemanagement software. Perform hardware, software, and storage life-cyclemanagement. Research new technologies and identify opportunities forimprovement in court technology.Plan, develop, and implement all IT policies and procedures including security,patch management, application development, daily operations, anddocumentation of systems and procedures.Oversee, direct, and manage IT staff. Assign duties and tasks relating to thedaily operations of court technology for the purpose of achieving maximumup-time of mission-critical technology systems. Perform staff evaluations andperformance reviews. Identify and provide for training needs of the IT staffand court personnel. Manage and direct IT staff to assure optimum availabilityof staff for internal and external customer support of court technology andsystems. Provide technical guidance to IT staff, court personnel and seniormanagement. Perform as a systems analyst and IT specialist as necessary tocompensate for IT staff absence time.
