 Research and evaluate leading Safety & Health technologies, that can improve the health, safety and well-being of fellow employees  Developed methodology and matrix to effectively evaluate leading safety and health technologies, which has prevented Barrick from spending millions of dollars  Scientifically identified leading fatigue technologies both wearable and in-cab for the mine sites to choose which best to implement, through unique valuation testing methodology. Executed the roll-out of Barrick’s In-Vehicle-Mentoring-System internationally(28 mine sites) through various management of change techniques.

Managed and trained a team of 15 installers, developed important training curriculum and video tutorials, which were translated into several other languages. Successfully stood up a global team, to roll-out a 3,000-In-vehicle-mentoring-system deployment on 4 continents, for a large mining company. Collaborated with companies in the oil & gas, mining and over the road industries at all levels of their organization from the front-line people to the executive teams, to achieve their strategic targets.

Promoted in rapid succession into roles of increasing responsibility, commencing in operations as a fracturing technician acquiring 7 promotions in 12 months, including certifying as the fracturing crew electronic technician, providing maintenance and troubleshooting of electronic components. Achieved the role of Fleet Administrator in 2008, leading the Vernal camp from 40% driver behavior compliance up to 95%, through maintaining & troubleshooting existing systems, and compiling and providing appropriate data analysis to the General Manager, which armed him to drive accountability to teams to achieve success, and reduce fatalities.

My responsibilities included sitting down with a family at their kitchen table to analyze their current financial situation and then come back in a few days to provide solutions that would either save them money, help them to start saving for the future or would provide them an umberella if something fatal should occur in their lives. I learned a lot about people and my own leadership during this time. I gained more leadership skills in this opportunity than anything I had previously done.

Trainer 10 Students all of which went on to obtain a Class B commercial driver's license. One of the most rewarding jobs I've ever had, to witness the transformation in a student that in the beginning was extremely nervous and had zero confidence, then at the end of their training gaining that confidence that only comes through commitment and competence through dedicated practice.
