As Ian Fletcher (W1A) says, “Every problem is a solution waiting to happen.” I am a problem solver, so I am one of those people who is going to go make it happen. Some of the traits I have which enable my success include an owner mindset, an unrelenting curiosity, an obsession with customer satisfaction, and a technological affinity.A few things about me:1) I have been appointed to lead teams in varying capacities, such as managing 19 employees and day-to-day operations of a small company, providing guidance to and aligning 18 peers, and wrangling diverse stakeholders to execute projects.2) I am deeply curious, and I love to learn how things work. I constantly seek new knowledge and skills to pair with my scrappiness and resourcefulness to aid my never-ending quest to deliver excellent service and products to customers.3) I have been tech support for family and friends for as long as I can remember. I bring this interest and aptitude to work so I can get opportunities like leading the 747/767 Digital Transformation team, supporting 700+ users and producing metrics presented at the C-level. (Some of the tech skills I have and continue to develop: SQL, Python, HTML, JavaScript, Angular/Typescript, Excel, C#/dotnet, and Tableau.)4) I will take on challenges as a leader, engaged team member, or solo; work side-by-side with or present to peers and executives; and hop on that call to check in with customers. Let’s just make it happen.5) I was a spelling bee champion from grades four to eight and won my county spelling bee “during a fierce competition” (according to the Albany Herald) in 2000.6) I am a big fan of cat gifs. (And it is definitely dʒɪf.)
