It has always been a personal goal of mine to be involved in a position that affects, in a positive light, the lives of others. Starting in 2012, after five years as a Logistics Safety Manager, I was promoted to fill the role of Northeast Regional EHS Logistics Manager at Dean Foods that continues to satisfy that personal goal. Through developing programs and policy in transportation safety and DOT compliance I am invested in the longevity and personal safety of over 300 drivers and their families as well the the financial improvement of the company as a whole. Through certification and training in the Smith System Defensive Driving program I pass on valuable knowledge and tools that work to keep my drivers and the rest of the driving public safe on the roads. Through the use of monthly training programs that cover topics from hours of service to bio-mechanics, I protection employees and their families health as well as company reputations. PPE development, observation and coaching initatives, and monthly mock DOT inspections on our fleet continue, with the help of valuable, well trained supervisors and other managers, to make safety, not only an everyday slogan, but an integral part of our culture. In 2018 I made the difficult choice to leave Dean Foods and share my knowledge base, expertise of OSHA and Behavioral Based Safety by moving to the growing field of robotic warehousing with a company called Symbotic. I find what I do very fullfilling and seek to expand that role as I continue in this very personally rewarding career.
