I consider myself a rarity. I graduated from college and, after a month in Europe, I started my first job as a programmer at a small company called AccuRecord. Fast forward to October, 2014 and you could still find me, albeit a bit older, working for AccuRecord. I worked at AccuRecord until they were taken over via corporate takeover and remained with the acquiring company. I remained with the acquiring company until the location was physically shut down. My longevity at my position (from jr programmer, to sr. programmer, to VP/Senior director) was due to my work ethic, never satisfied to just do my job, but driven to ensure that the job was done right. I don't watch the clock and run out the door at the end of the day, and I have no patience or respect for those that do.
