Briefly after GroupCard was acquired by InComm our team was transitioned over to Virtual Solutions IT at InComm where I took on the position of Lead Software Engineer.Responsibilities:* Lead development and design of our proprietary gifting platform* Manage and develop codebase that manages virtual stored value product inventory.* Implement partner sites on gifting platform, determine and plan new required development based on partner requests.Accomplishments:* Designed a ground-up MVC used to this day to drive gift card sales for major partners like Zynga, Victoria's Secret and Overstock.com* Assisted in the design of a RESTFUL API used for distribution and activation of virtual product inventory.* Lead the launch of several partners onto our gifting platform, including Express, Hollister, and Victoria's Secret's PINK.

I lead the implementation, monitoring, and improvement of our social network integrations, including our Facebook implementation and previously our OpenSocial implementation.Responsibilities* Lead Facebook application development and develop strategies for socializing current features.* Implement Facebook connect on our active website to bring social features of Facebook into our existing implementation* Scale Facebook application to handle increased API requests.* Build a system to cache API calls made to Facebook* Build and manage a testing system that allows informed decisions on new features and changes to existing features.* Develop and launch MySpace and Ning implementations.* Contributed to the development of new APIs with partners including Amazon, Facebook, PayPal and Ning.* Implemented Facebook Payments as an Alpha test partner with Facebook and provided feedback that lead to changes in their product offering.Accomplishments* Launched Facebook application in less than one month.* Launched an application on Ning in under two weeks.* Built much of the Facebook application that was awarded a $250,000 grant as part of fbFund 2008 and was invited to return to participate in fbFund Rev 2009.

"Countdown" was the first large-scale count-down application on Facebook. At it's peak, countdown had 250,000 users (when facebook counted installs), and currently has nearly 80,000 monthly actives.In addition to it's success with traffic, countdown has led to many learnings about facebook product marketing. One of the most revealing things is that having useful interaction on the profile is much more valuable than trying to get people back to your canvas pages. Despite the fact that much of the interaction happens on the profile, more people visit the canvas page for Countdown than some of the other apps I have built. The best track for social growth is the natural pattern of friends actually using my application, so Countdown hasn't needed to utilize spammy tactics.

Web Security - Performed both white and black box security tests and recommended security updates for the Blursoft Metaforum software. Discovered unpatched exploits in PHP code and developed fixes for those exploits. Contributor to the blursoft OS project, including writing a blog module and contributing security enhancements.Web Development - Worked with clients and design teams to create web solutions in JavaScript, PHP, and Perl.Facebook Development - Ported an existing site (saveupwards.com) to the Facebook platform
