I graduated from Towson University at the end of May 2021 with a B.S. in Accounting and Communications Studies, giving me 157 credits upon graduation. I am eager to begin my career in the accounting field but also look forward to continuing my education in order to become a Certified Public Accountant.I have been involved in multiple clubs and honor societies on campus as well as holding multiple leadership positions and actively volunteering. My accounting classes and my internship experiences as an Accounting Systems Research Intern, Accounting Intern, and Tax Intern have all taught me very unique lessons. My accounting major classes have taught me the fundamentals of accounting. As an Accounting Systems Research Intern, I learned about many different types of systems and solutions that many businesses use for their accounting needs. As an Accounting Intern, I learned what an internal accountant prepares for their company. As a Tax Intern, I learned how to take the information given from the business and figure out how to use the information for completing tax forms and creating value for clients.What makes me unique though?My Communications Studies major has helped me learn how to communicate effectively with people, while my Accounting major and internship experiences have taught me the fundamental technical skills of accounting. This has given me a great understanding of emotional intelligence, leading me to have the ability to read and understand people's wants and needs to consistently create win/win outcomes.
