I am a highly motivated national security expert with over 20 years of experience in policy and operations analysis, strategic advising and leadership, people and business development, and success evaluation. I have previously served as the Research Director for the Afghanistan War Commission, which was charged by Congress to conduct a comprehensive review of key decisions related to U.S. military, intelligence, foreign assistance, and diplomatic involvement in Afghanistan from June 2001 to August 2021. Prior to that, I directed two research programs at CNA, one focused on countering threats and challenges from violent extremist organizations, Iran and its affiliates, and North Korea; and one focused on supporting US special operations forces.
