If coaching is not deep enough, the client may not change, or may only change temporarily, until old habits start to reappear. In counseling and psychotherapy, the work is often deeper (more emotional) as there is a greater focus on healing for the sake of healing.I bring to my work a combination of business expertise (MBA from INSEAD and 9 years as a manger and director at American Express), clinical expertise (MSW from Columbia University and experience working with individuals, couples, and groups), and intercultural expertise (I have lived in France, Spain, Switzerland, Germany, and Brazil and speak fluent French, Spanish, German, and Portuguese).I have also conducted and published research on coaching under a grant from Harvard's Institute of Coaching.
