A full-time technical lead of a carrier management system for well known brand names within the logistic industry. Responsibilities include but not limited to leading the team to maintain high coding standards, attending high-profile customer meetings, and supporting live-systems on a roster basis.

Currently working full-time as a software engineer at DAI. I am responsible for providing simulation environment which is used to test our software solution before it is released to our customers. The simulation is written in Java where the visualisation is written in JavaFX. Apart from learning the technical side of the software, I also get to learn how logistic automation companies operate of which we provide the software for which helps me to test our product better.

A part-time role in providing excellent customer service whilst making hand-crafted, quality beverages. When I started working, I was told the unit’s weekly sales is in the red zone and I need to increase the overall profit margin of the unit. I took the initiative by offering products such as muffins or pastries for each customer’s orders. I also suggested the idea on tasting before buy so customers can decide if they want the products. As a result, the profit margin of the unit increased exponentially and I developed persuasion skills in order to achieve and increase weekly sales target.

Worked in both the kitchen and front of house as a team member. Roles including preparing fresh food on demands, working efficiently with other team members to create an efficient and yet engaging environment. As a beginner, it was very difficult for me to work at extreme fast pace like my fellow colleagues to meet the demand in fresh sandwiches especially during peak hours. I decided to offer extra unpaid work by either starting my shift early or working additional late hours for two days to familiarise myself with the routine. In the end, I managed to perform my role at the same pace as my colleagues and meeting demands which greatly impressed my manager. Through this, I have heightened my working under pressure skill and team-working skill in order to reach the common goal.

A part-time role with responsibilities including assisting office staff in dealing with customers and also gained experience through “shadowing” a highly-qualified engineer. Although my official role was an office administrator, I asked my manager if I could also be a part of the engineering team as well as I was extremely interested in general engineering. My manager agreed and gave me a mini project in building a small prototype of a ship that needs float using scrap materials provided by the company. I had guidance from a qualified engineer where he taught me many practical skills such as welding, fabricating, cutting, assembling steel structures and operating high-level machineries. The project was a success and I have learned many engineering skills as well as creative thinking related to ship construction.
