Pursuing a long-term dream, my wife and I have started a business catering and selling Ethiopian food and other ethnic cuisines in Seattle. We aim to bring the magical cultural experiences we've had from great food to people in Seattle.A cultural experience is more than great ethnic food prepared slowly with care, and quality ingredients. It's about being served with love, and the story behind the food you are eating. The first time I sat on the floor for Buna, the Ethiopian coffee ceremony, and experienced incredible coffee combined with incense, paired with foods I'd never tasted, and served with love in tiny porcelain cups, I knew this was an experience others were missing out on. This was the beginning of my journey exploring food and drinks from other cultures.In today's highly charged political climate, we all need things that bring people together. We particlularly need things that offer an appreciation for the richness of other cultures. This is the dream my wife Meeraf and I have with our business Geni's Ethiopian Corner, to bring people together through food.
