The Cyber Security Strategy Distinguished Engineer, provides thought leadership and strategic technical direction across multiple programs that seek to improve cyber security across all aspects of the Comcast brand. This role sets technical direction, initiates strategic programs, builds prototypes, and identifies needed technology to drive change and meet future state security objectives. The Distinguished Engineer works closely with the CISO, Senior Executives, Enterprise Architects, Product and Technology Leads, and Engineering Teams to set technical direction and design solutions that address strategic information security goals. The Distinguished Engineer regularly meets with cloud, network, and application security teams to understand current goals and help align strategic security goals with technical deliverables.The Distinguished Engineer, formulates strategic security solutions that meet or exceed best in class protection objectives critical for securing Comcast diverse lines of business, affiliates, enterprise and infrastructure assets, media and content delivery services, and cost-effective achievement of compliance objectives. The Distinguished Engineer, must be able to credibly coordinate between technical teams and business stakeholders, and execute both strategically and tactically. Balance business risk and need, cost and complexity, sustainability and technical agility, to aide delivery of transformational security tools which distinguish the Brand.

The Principal Security Architect works closely with the CISO, Enterprise Architects, Technical Project Leads, Senior Executives, and department directors to architect/design and deploy secure solutions aligned with the business goals and the Information Technology Long Range Plan.The Principal Security Architect position is a leadership role that provides guidance and sets strategic direction for platform architecture, application security design, and security policy within the organization.The Principal Security Architect position helps senior management understand the security posture of the organization, as well as the posture partners and acquisitions in order to develop risk management strategies for gaps that may exist.The Principal Security Architect leads application and penetration testing initiatives within the organization to identify vulnerabilities in infrastructure and provides technical guidance on mitigating identified vulnerabilities. The application security testing team reports to the Principal Security Architect.The Principal Security Architect position provides oversight and technical guidance during incident response situations, as well as providing guidance for overall risk and vulnerability monitoring and mitigation strategies.The Principal Security Architect is required to maintain a high level of technical expertise in a number of areas and must be able to convey this knowledge to both technical staff and senior management.
