As a lead communications professional for the Water Division, I work with internal subject matter experts to assist them in creating key messaging about projects in San Francisco and throughout our service area. In addition, my scope includes our 60,000 acres of watersheds on the Peninsula, in the East Bay and up country to the Sierras.

The municipal transportation agency of San Francisco is like no other. Their work encompasses not just an extensive bus and rail network, but they also touch every aspect of moving around the city, from streetscape safety improvements, to the bike lane network and, of course, our subway system. SFMTA also oversees taxis, accessibility services and new modes of shared vehicle travel. As a public information officer, my role was to create a bridge between the public and SFMTA's in-house expert planners and project managers. As a member of the Public Outreatch and Engagement Team (POETs), I designed and executed outreach programs with a focus on equity and inclusion, using all forms of print, digital, and social media, as well as crafting community events.

The mission of the Stanford Center on Longevity is to redesign long life. The Center studies the nature and development of the human life span, looking for innovative ways that science and technology can improve the well-being of people of all ages. Provided social media and internal communications for the New York City Health and Hospitals Corporation (HHC) --the largest municipal healthcare organization in the country, serving 1.3 million New Yorkers every year, including 475,000 who are uninsured. Supported SharePoint launch and helped re-design user experience.As a member of the communications team, I created and delivered information and support --both internally and externally-- to highlight HHC's role in providing accessible, effective, patient-centric healthcare throughout New York City.

As the lead communications advisor for Access, my focus included raising awareness of the high quality work done by the organization's service providers, as well as keeping staff and patients well informed about the key priorities and activities that affect them. My work encompassed print and electronic communications, internet and intranet sites, social media, video and external media relations. To ensure the proper flow of information during critical situations, I also drafted and implemented a crisis communications plan. As a not-for-profit organization, Access Community Health Centers provides affordable and quality primary medical, dental, and behavioral health care at four locations in central Wisconsin to individuals who might not otherwise have any options.
