I have more than 25 years of experience in corporate communications, investor relations and marketing of financial services, primarily for Assured Guaranty and one of its predecessor companies, Financial Security Assurance, which Assured Guaranty acquired in July 2009. I am currently responsible for marketing communications and advertising, and I provide both strategic counsel and implementation for investor relations and media relations.I planned, wrote and executed FSA's first website (and two subsequent redesigns), redeveloped Assured Guaranty's site and created the original website of its Municipal Assurance Corp.subsidiary. I have written and produced all manner of strategic marketing materials, speeches, PowerPoint presentations, executive communications, press releases, by-lined articles and annual reports. I have managed media inquiries, written the narrative portions of SEC filings and executed solutions to difficult investor communications problems. One of my particular strengths is writing clearly and effectively about complex financial concepts without "dumbing them down." I believe strongly that successful execution of any marketing or investor relations strategy depends on intellectually honest and appropriately transparent communications.I came to FSA in 1988 with an MBA in Finance from NYU. I had previously run the corporate communications department of the Depository Trust Company (now DTCC), the central depository for marketable securities in the United States.
