The Assistant Papermaker is the recognised stand-in for the Papermaker, and trained to run the Papermachine.Responsible for the product through the drying, sizing and reeling sections, as well as responsible for any allied equipment, and machine clothing for these sections.The job entails assisting the Papermaker on the full range of equipment for the Papermachine, and will have direct involvement for example in system cleans, wash-ups, clothing changes - under the direction of the Papermaker.When running the Papermachine during the papermakers absence the Assistant Papermaker assumes the normal responsibilities of the Papermaker.• Produced a flow diagram for the wet end process on the paper machines which was also implemented into internal training courses to aid understanding of complex manufacturing processes.• Conducted labelling pipe work for 3 paper machines to a high standard to aid in visual understanding of stock, additive and water flow directions and destinations.
