Recent graduate with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and Finance from Georgia Southern University. Throughout my college experience, I have learned a lot about myself. Business was not my initial path, I changed my major to Accounting after deciding that Pre-Pharmacy was not for me and shortly after changing, I noticed that I made the right choice. I finally found something that I was interested in and liked the field of business so much that I decided to double major and picked up Finance too. I have become very acquainted and proficient with MS Excel and can generate spreadsheets, journal entries, pivot tables, and other functions using Excel. I can efficiently analyze an array of financial data and can work both independently and as part of a team. Through my previous work experience while attending school, I learned how to be flexible with scheduling, handling multiple tasks at once, and sudden changes in the workplace. I also learned to build and implement effective time management skills to achieve balance between being a full-time college student with a job. As a security guard, I learned a lot about professionally handling conflict on the job and also stress management skills to remain rational. I was complimented on my time management and diligent work ethic at both previous jobs. In my spare time, I can be found reading, listening to music, and spending time with my wife and four cats. I also enjoy being outdoors, traveling, learning about and tinkering with auto mechanics, and researching about financial topics. Although I do not have much field experience in Accounting or Finance, I have a strong willingness to learn and work hard to become successful in the field. I have learned a lot as a double major and I am highly interested in putting my knowledge into practice and learning from a great mentor. After gaining some field experience, I plan to either sit for the CPA or CFA and I am currently eligible to sit for both exams.
