Among key activities, facilitated and supported five (5) quarterly CSCs dialogues; eight (8) Community Peace Committees quarterly dialogues; Ten (10) County Security Councils and Civil Military Councils joint committees’ meetings in Liberia & Ivory Coast project’s target communities. • Provided technical support to IOM to organize and carried out five (5) joint cross-border patrols between security agencies of Liberia and Ivory Coast along the border communities in the project areas in Liberia and Ivory Coast. • Provided technical support to 4 Civil Society Organizations and trained over 1530 cross-border women traders and 500 Community Peace Committee members in all project’s communities in mirroring communities along the Liberian-Ivorian borders. The training covered key topics including: Conflict Management/Resolution/Peacebuilding, Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Method and Techniques; Gender Based-Violence, Land Rights Law and Education; Early Warning and Response (identifying potential conflict hot spots along the borders and mitigating violence issues including land dispute along the Ivorian-Liberian border).• As a result of the training, the Communities Peace Committees identified and/or received over 1219 cases and successfully resolved 1199 through mediation and other alternative dispute resolution • Provided direct procedural assistance and programmatic support in gender equality, youths and women’s empowerment through the Counties gender coordinators and ensuring program results are delivered and indicators are tracked in a gender-responsive method. -
