I am an urban planner, grant manager, and a believer in everyday Americans. I grew up in Las Vegas, New Mexico where both of my parents have long roots. Not long before I was born, a segment of Interstate 25 was built directly across the street from our family home, altering our neighborhood so radically that the streets I played in as a kid are not the same ones that my older brothers remember. That experience sparked my interest in protecting neighborhoods and ensuring that change happens with residents, not to them. With over 14 years of professional experience in consulting and business process roles, I am a big-picture thinker with knowledge of land use, housing, and community development at all levels of government. A little more about me: 📚 I am constantly reading and have a 2024 goal to read 75 books! 🏜️ Growing up in the Southwest predisposed me to love sunny, dry weather. I will always be a little bummed out when it's raining. 🏃🏻‍♂️ Running outdoors is my favorite exercise and pastime. Thank you to the running coaches in my life that encouraged me to keep this up.
