Member and supervisor of activities related in the geomechanics projects using numerical modeling methods applied to on problems related to reservoir and well engineering, such as fault sealing and (re)ativation analysis, caprock integrity, changes of properties of the naturally fractured reservoir due to changes in pressure field, temperature, and concentration in porous media. At Fuels Laboratory, I have developed research on biofuels (simulation, optimization and production of biodiesel) and petroleum refining (optimization and quality control methodology of solvent refining unit to remove polycyclic aromatic hidrocarbon [PAH] from “distillate” aromatic extracts [DAE] that were produced from the extraction of distillate lubricating oil base stocks). During this period, I published some articles about improvement of biodiesel production process and extration of PAH from DAE, specially concerning aspects such as yield, quality control methodology, technical reports and so on.
