Researcher On Geomechanics
Member and supervisor of activities related in the geomechanics projects using numerical modeling methods applied to on problems related to reservoir and well engineering, such as fault sealing and (re)ativation analysis, caprock integrity, changes of properties of the naturally fractured reservoir due to changes in pressure field, temperature, and concentration in porous media. Coupled hydro-geochemical simulation of labs tests provided by sponsors. The list of projects ongoing and finished follows:+ Geomechanical Behavior Modeling Thermo-Chemical-Hydro Coupling of Pre-Salt Rocks - phase2 (2015-2017): Simulation and geomechanical analysis of reservoir rocks of the pre-salt, including changes in the properties of cape (caverns formation) and reservoir rocks due to changes in the field of pressures, temperature and concentrations in the porous medium (thermo-mechanical and geochemical coupled problem). Sponsor(s): PETROBRAS.+ Coupled fluid flow and geomechanical deformation modeling in oil reservoir - Fracturinq effects (2016-2017): Analysis of hydraulic fracturing problems related to anisotropic stress state on reservoir dynamic (fluid flow and deformation behaviors). Sponsor(s): EQUION.+ Computational Tools for Characterization and Analysis of Naturally Fractured Systems - AzimuteBR (2014-2016): Development of algorithms and computational tools for characterization and analysis of naturally fractured reservoir from data collected in image profiles and cores, using MATLAB and VBA. Sponsor(s): PETROBRAS.+ PETROBRAS Thematic Network, SIGER-I and II– Reservoir Simulation and Management: Optimization, Uncertainties and Coupled Phenomena(2010-2015): generating reports related of reservoir geomechanics activities (HM analysis and flow simulation) and development of new strategies for coupled simulation with streamline approach and multidimensional upwinds over unstructured meshes.
