I am a dedicated nursing student at Stony Brook University, on track to graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in May 2024. My journey began with a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Sciences from the same institution, providing a strong foundation for my current path. Throughout my education, I've prioritized patient-centered care and honed my clinical skills across various departments, including Medical/Surgical, Fundamentals of Nursing, and more.In addition to my academic pursuits, I've gained valuable hands-on experience in healthcare settings. At Mobile Covid Services BeSpoke Health, I played a crucial role in COVID-19 testing and registration, ensuring efficient patient care and education during a challenging time. Similarly, my role as an Emergency Department Medical Scribe at Brooklyn Hospital allowed me to directly support physicians in delivering comprehensive patient care.Research is another passion of mine, and I've had the opportunity to contribute to projects focused on improving nurse well-being and addressing misconceptions about obesity. These experiences have broadened my understanding of healthcare and reinforced my commitment to making a positive impact in the field.Active involvement in professional associations, including the Stony Brook Student Nurses' Association and the American Association for Men in Nursing, has allowed me to connect with peers and mentors who share my dedication to nursing excellence. Additionally, I hold certifications in HIPAA, CITI Training, and BLS, further enhancing my qualifications.Proficient in EMR systems like Cerner PowerChart and Northwell Sunrise, I also possess strong interpersonal skills that are essential for effective patient care and teamwork.
