Hello, my name is Jonathan Weber and I'm an American living in Chengdu, China.Over the past year I have developed a love for coding at Springboard learning web development using HTML, CSS, Javascript, Node, Express, React, Python, Flask, as well as various other frameworks. At Springboard I created two full stack capstone projects. My most recent capstone (Prose Perfector) utilizes the OpenAI API to help people get a rating and feedback on their writing whether it be a product description or thank you letter, based off an adjective they want to convey. It also provides an improved rewrite of their text. I'm looking for my first position as a Full Stack Web Developer at a company where I can work hard to learn and grow. For now I will stay with my wife in China but we should be able to move to the US early next year. Ideally I could find a remote job now but would also be willing to relocate somewhere in the US when the time comes for work.Over the past six years of living in China I've worked as an English teacher and have been learning Chinese. Through navigating this culture so different from my own I have developed great communication and interpersonal skills.
