I am a technology enthusiast and nerd. I have always been intrigued by the newest gadgets and technology. In my free time, I enjoy browsing technology related articles and experimenting with the latest SDK, cloud services, and APIs available.I actually like to write software for fun whether it's a hackathon or just some DIY raspberry PI project. My preferred web stack is Angular for frontend development, .NET for backend and MSSQL or NoSQL(Mongo or CosmosDb) as a database. I have extensive experience developing on Microsoft Azure (MS Certified). I really am enjoying cloud development as it really puts Ops in the hands of Developers.I own multiple 3d printers, own a robot vacuum and my home is 32.33 repeating % automated.I love to learn and can often be heard watching online learning courses at 1.5 to 2 times the normal speed. I am currently learning about Artificial Intelligence and ways to apply them to software solutions. Senior Software Developer / Full Stack Developer
During my time at Hennepin County, I have transitioned from providing direct services for residents to serving residents through developing high value custom applications.My lastest position was a full stack developer creating custom cloud (Microsoft Azure) applications for the lines of business. My preferred stack to work with are Angular for the front end and .NET Core/.NET 5+ on the back end. I have experience using entity framework as an ORM to connect to SQL backends (MS SQL or Oracle) but also enjoy using NoSQL databases for their flexibility.During my time at the county I have served as the lead developer for four new cloud applications and have worked on a total of six new cloud applications. Notably, for the Human Services line of business, I designed and architected their first B2C application that allowed residents to create accounts linked to their Minnesota benefits account and allow them to upload new documents online.I hosted a monthly lunch and learn session called TechShare where we explored emerging technologies and discuss use cases with examples. I also started an Angular Community of practice for the Angular developers at the county.
