Initiate cross-department collaboration with wider student experience teams (student achievement team, health and counselling and Māori/Pasifika student support) to provide a holistic and mana-enhancing approach.- Investigate, analyse, and make recommendations or decisions on a variety of processes and issues during the service interaction.- Liaise with external agencies i.e., Ministry of Social Development, Student Associations where appropriate to assist students in their studies and wellbeing.- Maintain knowledge and perform duties associated with student financial assistance i.e., StudyLink, student allowance, financial hardship.- Participate in activities that support the wider student experience and engagement such as open day, orientation and graduation.- Ensure all student information is entered correctly in appropriate databases e.g, SMS, CRM.- Develop cultural knowledge and Te Reo proficiency, and to participate in pastoral care and wellbeing professional development. Within the next 7 weeks, I gathered data from interviews to both internal and external sources to generate market entry location and regulation analysis. I worked for nearly one and a half year in this position during the time I pursuit my studies at the University of Auckland. The tasks include: routine on-site security and floor inspections, after-hours pastoral care, office administration and emergency response to urgent sitautions.This dynamic position also required support for accommodaqtion events, which provided oppurtunities for students to enhance their experience at Unilodge and to improve student well-being. Worked closely with the UniLodge management team, we organised trips to Hobbiton, the Hot Water Beach at Coromandel, and numerous visits to Auckland landmarks. I also proposed an event called "The Best Room at UniLodge Whitaker" which was designed to increase self-awareness of maintaining a clean and organised room. The proposal was accepted and I led the event, which was a great success as we reduced the maintainance and pest control requests by 40% during the next three months.The experience at UniLodge as a resident adviser triggers me to pursuit a career for international students' pastoral care support.
