Jonathan Wehri is an architect and design leader. His foundation of experience is from over 20 years leading + designing award winning projects by aligning the environment with the desired experience. He has a proven track record of building trust with clients and stakeholders that allows him to lead them through the ambiguity of the design process to unexpected outcomes. With his broad approach to the design process, Jonathan’s passion is to weave multiple layers of a user’s experience to craft truly transformational spaces.Utilizing his experience in learning, design, and play, Jonathan launched his own studio in 2012 with the idea of playing at the intersection of digital, physical, and environmental design. This led him to co-creating a kid’s play and enrichment facility where he created a comprehensive user experience including brand, web, marketing, and the environment. Now in its sixth year and multiple locations, it has garnered many awards including business of the year by the Bellevue chamber of commerce. Looking to further develop his passion and leadership, in 2014 Jonathan became the Director of Design at a Pennsylvania architecture and engineering firm. He drew upon his broad experience to lead a team of over 60 people with a diverse range of projects including education, retail, corporate offices, urban mixed-use developments, restaurants, museums, and others. Since then the firm has expanded into new geographies, new project types, and garnered multiple industry awards.Jonathan has practiced architecture in Michigan, Texas, Virginia, Maryland, District of Columbia, Washington, California, Colorado, Arizona, Utah and New Hampshire. He is currently licensed in Washington and Pennsylvania.
