Jonathan Goodman is the inaugural Chair of Monitor Deloitte's Global Advisory Counsel, a Vice Chair and member of the Board of Deloitte Canada, and a leader within Deloitte's Global CEO Program.For over three decades, Jonathan has worked closely with the CEOs, boards, and executive management of a variety of global corporations on issues of strategy, growth, M&A, organization, and transformation. He is an active speaker and author on topics related to strategy, uncertainty. leadership, and governance.Between June 2016 and July 2021 he was the Global Managing Partner of Monitor Deloitte, during which time he helped to build, grow, and elevate Deloitte's strategy capability (resident in over 30 countries around the world). In July 2021 he was named the Chair of Monitor Deloitte's inaugural Global Advisory Committee.He is currently a Vice Chair of Deloitte Canada, responsible for the firm's CEO and Boardroom Programs, including Deloitte Canada's Podium Club for Directors. He is also a member of the Deloitte Canada board of directors for which he currently chairs the Talent Committee and is a member of the Risk and Ethics Committee. He is formerly co-chair of the Strategy, Ethics and Risk Committee and a member of the Finance and Investment Commitee. Jonathan originally joined Monitor in 1986, and co-founded Monitor in Toronto in 1987. In addition to client service, Jonathan held a number of executive roles at Monitor including long-time-leader of Monitor Canada, head of the firm's global strategy practice, lead partner for North America, member of the firm's Global Executive Team, and member of the Monitor Board. Monitor was acquired by Deloitte in January 2013.He currently serves as Chair of the Canadian Nieman Fellowship, is on the board of the Loran Scholars Foundation, and is an active member of YPO. He is formerly a member of the Board of Trustees of the Ontario Science Centre, the Lead Director and on the audit committee of Counsel Corporation, and a board member of both Anthem Media and the Canadian Jewish News.
