I was the liaison between the MassDOT Security and Emergency Preparedness Department and the MBTA Transit Police. My primary responsibilities were to use multiple legal and sociological online databases (Sociological abstracts, Westlaw, Lexis, Criminal Justice Abstracts, and Academic Search Premier) to conduct legal research and draft historical reports of how suicides, and attempted suicides, were socially controlled from a legal context throughout history (i.e. how and why suicide was illegalized and punishable in preceding eras).
