I managed the pre-construction process on an apartment building in New Hope, MN and a high-rise tower apartment building in Minneapolis.

I managed the pre-construction process for a Senior Living project in Maple Grove, MN and the pre-construction and construction processes for an historic renovation hotel project in Minneapolis.

Project Manager for Target in the Construction Group working on new stores and store renovations throughout the United States. I worked with highly collaborative teams on complex projects, including new cityTargets in downtown Los Angeles and Portland, OR, new prototype stores in Utah, California, Colorado, and Oregon, and store remodels in 9 different states. I was involved with ongoing process and workflow improvement initiatives. Volunteer focus included the Target School Library Makeover program, the Target Hispanic Business Council, Hearts and Hammers, and Habitat for Humanity.

Project Manager on multi-family housing project in St. Paul, Minnesota from January 2005 to September 2006. Project Manager on renovation of historic Foshay Tower in downtown Minneapolis from September 2006 to August 2008. From August 2008 to October 2010 I worked on chase and pre-construction for numerous multi-family and hospitality projects. My final project with Ryan was a new 40-unit HUD Section 202 Senior Housing project in Maplewood, Minnesota. Construction started in February 2010 and was completed in September 2010.

Hired out of college as an Office Engineer and through the course of six year career with Centex was promoted to Project Manager. Worked on various projects associated with the Practice Integration Projects (Gonda Building) for Centex Rodgers at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. In 2003 was transferred to Charlotte, North Carolina to work on the new Central Plant project at Carolinas Medical Center.

I worked on two residence hall projects at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska the summer before I graduated from Iowa State. These were fast paced, schedule-driven projects. I learned a lot about the art of project management from the professionals I had the pleasure to work with.
