▪ Led an integrated, multi-disciplinary project team consisting of superintendents, engineers, coordinators and contractors.▪ Managed and mentored 10+ reporting coordinators in construction and safety aspects of an industrial project.▪ Provided leadership to a culture of workplace safety in leading monthly safety inspections, obtaining supervisor safety training, conducting behaviour-based safety observations and daily pre-job safety instructions.▪ Initiated and managed the requirements for contractors through bid tender, execution and contract close-out.▪ Communicated progress updates, milestone status, key performance indicators and critical technical issues to the client and senior management.▪ Developed work packages which included safety job hazard analysis, quality documentation requirements, procurement of material, schedule milestones, technical information and project drawings for each scope breakdown.▪ Worked with project team on construction execution schedules and conducted regular reviews and updates to schedule based on project progress and changes.▪ Monitored cost and schedule of contractors performing work throughout the project by ensuring milestones were completed on-time and on-budget.▪ Managed close-out of project scope by coordinating personnel to provide required turnover documentation and pre-commissioning activities.▪ Reviewed engineering drawings for constructability prior to drawings being issued for construction.▪ Initiated and monitored the change management system, based on the required engineering resolutions or client requests.▪ Liaison with engineering leads and managers to address the critical technical issues and priorities that impact schedule and cost.▪ Organized lessons learned sessions to provide improvements to future projects.

▪ Supported the successful completion of a $2B+ contract on the $8B+ Imperial Oil Kearl Oil Sands Project, fulfilling duties pursuant to CBI’s scope of work as the prime contractor on projects related to extraction and tank farm areas.▪ Performed quality inspections on underground piping, environmental liners, driven and screw piles, internal and external coatings, structural steel, structural concrete, and equipment installations.▪ Leveraged experience in concrete installations and civil engineering to provide comprehensive quality assurance and reviewed and approved Inspection Test Plans and quality documents for subcontractors.▪ Managed subcontractors, inspecting work in the field to ensure that specifications and quality documentation were completed in accordance to company policies.▪ Identified contractor non-conformance, authoring reports to note projects outside of specifications and liaising with relevant managerial staff to address issues.▪ Generated comprehensive Requests for Information, as well as compiling all documentation required for turn-over and close-out of projects, including binders and quality reports.

▪ Managed contractor scope of work in conjunction with Horton CBI’s Chicago-based engineering division to support the completion of the $176M Mt. Hayes LNG Peak-Shaving Facility in Nanaimo, BC.▪ Joined with a multi-disciplinary team of 20 to build new vaporization, liquefaction systems and a 1.5 BCF LNG Storage Tank while ensuring the accurate completion of all quality documentation.▪ Developed detailed progress updates, performing quantity surveys to assess work completed and compared against budgets; developed and maintained a database for project progressing.▪ Directed earthworks and concrete contractor in the execution of foundation scope of work.

▪ Rotated through multiple departments in construction, project cost and scheduling, sales and estimation, and engineering.▪ Developed estimates for projects and involved in bid process.▪ Monitored costs and scheduling for multiple projects while gaining experience in Primavera schedule software.▪ Gained critical experience through involvement in three major turnaround projects, including the restoration of a fractionator vessel and two DeltaValve upgrades for Suncor’s coke drums.▪ Designed pipe supports, verified nozzle loadings, and reviewed tank and pressure designs per ABC, NBC, API650/620, and AISC ASD standards, in addition to verification of work in accordance with client engineering drawings.
