Jonathan Yu is a Strategy and Operations at DoorDash. We were going to replace our existing portfolio management accounting system with this web-based system. Shortly after his arrival at Lapides, we decided to replace our current in-house system with the Web-based Advent system. We had to convert approximately 3 years of data, set up interfaces with our custodians, implement the system on each employee’s computer, teach the employees how to use the system, reconcile both systems during the transition, and finally re-write our daily procedures to cover Advent. I cannot emphasize enough the superb operational impact Jon had to Lapides Asset Management. He assisted me in the reengineering of our back office in a matter of four months. Jon’s focus to this project was instrumental in Lapides Asset Management achieving this goal. He was able to effectively communicate with senior management, employees and various personnel at the portfolio management system vendor.
