I started my journey in education as an aide, where I was quickly promoted to the Afterschool Coordinator position. It was while I was in this position that I learned I wanted to have a more direct impact on students, so I went back to school to become a teacher. I have been teaching since 2012 as a middle school teacher and I hold the highest level certification available from the Google Certified Educator program. In addition to being a Google Certified Educator, I am also taking part in my second year of an invitation-only Teacher Leadership Academy. I am currently the Lead Teacher, CAASPP State Test Coordinator, and the IT Coordinator for the district. As the IT Coordinator, I am in charge of daily operations, keeping 225+ Chromebooks working and configured correctly, managing all staff computers, managing the network and remote hotspots for students, managing all district accounts through Google Admin Suite, and managing our web filter and monitoring service (GoGuardian).
