Datacenter Technician
CurrentAs a Data Center Technician (DCT), my primary responsibility is to ensure the data center operates smoothly and efficiently, minimizing downtime and maximizing uptime. My role includes:-Monitoring and Maintaining Infrastructure: Overseeing the performance of servers, storage systems, networking equipment, and other components to ensure optimal operation.-Routine Maintenance: Performing tasks such as replacing components to keep the infrastructure in top condition.-Deployment & Decommissioning: Managing the setup, configuration and removal of equipment as needed.-Troubleshooting: Quickly identifying and resolving issues, requiring strong knowledge of computer systems and networking, and the ability to work under pressure.-Security: Ensuring the data center is secure from physical and cyber threats by implementing and maintaining security protocols like firewalls, access controls, and monitoring systems.-Documentation: Keeping detailed records of all work performed, including maintenance tasks, troubleshooting steps, and system changes.-Collaboration: Working closely with other IT professionals, such as network engineers, system administrators, and database administrators, to ensure seamless operation of the data center.
