Co-founder and Managing Director of Incite (www.incite.co.za), a global consulting network based in South Africa that helps organisations build competitiveness by delivering societal value. Incite provides advisory and coaching services in the areas of ESG/sustainability strategy and performance, reporting and stakeholder engagement, innovation and organisational development. I have more than twenty-five years of project experience and advocacy work, engaging with leading listed companies, governmental and inter-governmental bodies, standards-setting organisations, development finance institutions, investors and NGOs across emerging and developed markets. As an Incite director, I have been actively involved in driving corporate accountability and improved sustainability/ESG performance in South Africa and globally, serving in an advisory capacity to various organisations, including the International Integrated Reporting Council (IIRC), GRI, CDP, WWF South Africa, and National Business Initiative (NBI). From 2006-2010 I played a leadership role in ISO’s largest-ever multi-stakeholder negotiating process, leading the negotiations on the text of the international standard on societal responsibility (ISO 26000) securing consensus from more than 95 countries, 45 global organisations and 450 experts. I lecture on various executive and MBA programmes, including for the University of Stellenbosch Business School, University of Cape Town Graduate School of Business and the University of Cambridge Programme for Sustainability Leadership, and am a regular speaker at conferences and executive programmes.Masters in Law Degree from the London School of Economics (UK), and a Masters in Environmental Policy from Lund University (Sweden).

Chaired the multi-year drafting process, securing consensus on the principles and substantive guidance provided in the 106-page standard, covering subjects such as organisational governance, human rights, labour practices, the environment and consumer issues. Subsequently appointed by ISO to assist in promoting social responsibility in the MENA region and East Africa, running various training courses and organisational engagements, as well as being appointed to facilitate an internal ISO strategy process relating to standardisation and developing countries. -
