Paramedic civilian contractor attached to 5th Medical Operation Squadron of the 5th Bomb Wing at Minot Air Force Base. I am the sole Advance Life Support provider on duty with the Ambulance Services. Respond to on all on Base and Base adjacent emergencies as well as supporting the mission of ensuring nuclear surety at this nuclear-capable base. Responsible for and maintains all ALS Medication as well as Schedule II narcotics.Provides 48hrs of continuing education per month in conjunction with the other 2 full-time paramedics.Provided EMT course as an adjunct instructor for the Minot AFB Fire Department personnel March-May 2018.

-Provide safe and efficient critical care level transport in fix-wing ambulance from North Dakota area medical centers to specialty care centers in major metropolitan cities. -Complete rescue missions from critical access facilities that cannot provide definitive care. Providing excellent emergency evaluations and treatments as a 911- advance life support provider to all age groups. Responsible for continual cardiac and oximetry monitoring of patients in acute inpatient units, emergency department, and observation unit. Interpret 5-lead ECGs and document electrocardiac measurements. Alert RNs and other practitioners of acute changes and deleterious trends.

Assist MDs, NPs, and RNs with all aspects of patient care in the settings of the emergency department. Care includes- obtaining vital signs, blood sugar readings, 12-lead EKGs, wound care, suture removal, urinalysis, orthopedic splints and teachings, cardiac monitoring of patients, sterile procedure set-ups and 1st assists for central line placement, lumbar punctures, and other emergent procedurea. Hospital code-team and ED-rapid response team-member. Providing appropriate level care to all patient population from newborn to geriatrics at a fast paced and demanding environment.
