Demonstrator roles for subjects including;-ENVI1003: Global Challenges: Food, Water and Climate.-ENVX1002: Introduction to Statistical Methods.-SOIL2005: Soil and Water: Earth's Life Support Systems.

A two month internship, based in Wagga Wagga, which allowed me to immerse myself in a range of tasks. My primary role over this time was to assist with the creation of the 2020 Bridge Hub water challenge which sought to find practical solutions to water issues within the agri-system at a global scale. The ability to attend meetings and work with stakeholders while operating in a shared working space allowed me to further enhance my communication and teamwork skills. The scope of work undertaken was vastly different to my science based degree. As a consequence I was encouraged to think in new, creative ways and was introduced to new work platforms. To conclude my time I was afforded the opportunity to attend the AgriFutures evokeAg conference in Melbourne.

Working as a farm hand on a large cotton property. Duties included irrigation, tractor work and general workshop assistance. This provided me with an opportunity to better understand the processes occurring on a highly efficient and well run property.

During my two week placement at the Rice Growers Association I was given a valuable insight into how such an association works to represent growers to other councils, associations and government organisations. During this time there was also an overlap with Rice extension and Sunrice, specifically, grower services. This gave me the opportunity to take part in visits to farms and talk to growers, which in turn allowed me to further understand how farmers and researchers connect to produce better and more efficient outputs. My other roles included helping out around the office, which gave me a wonderful insight into the broad set of tasks such an organisation undertake.

My time at The Coffee Club was valuable in allowing me to develop strong interpersonal and communication skills with experiences ranging from crew training to constant discussions with a broad demographic of customers. These three years enhanced my ability to work in a team environment, highlighted the value of hard work and time management, balancing work, sport, school and other community activities.
