About Jonathon Pulliam, M.Ed

As a passionate School Leader with 5+ years of experience, I’m driven by a commitment to culturally responsive teaching and the power of data to transform student achievement. I specialize in raising literacy outcomes through a deep expertise in English Language Arts and foundational literacy instruction, with a proven track record of helping students thrive. From classroom teacher to school leader, I’ve developed a love for coaching and empowering educators to create vibrant, inclusive, and results-driven learning environments. My work extends across K-8 ELA content and standards, where I’ve led professional development at both the school and network level, alongside advanced graduate studies in instructional leadership. I take pride in designing targeted interventions and leveraging data to ensure every student—regardless of background or ability—has the tools to succeed. With a hands-on, collaborative approach, I partner with new and early-career teachers to build their confidence and capacity, so they can inspire the next generation of learners.I’m a proud HBCU graduate, holding a B.A. in English from Tuskegee University (Go Tigers!) and an M.Ed. in Urban Education. Currently, I’m pursuing a PhD in Reading and Literacy Instruction at Alabama A&M University. My journey reflects a passion for lifelong learning, creative problem-solving, and an unwavering commitment to educational equity.
