SANS Cyber FastTrack is a seven month long nation-wide online cyber security program for college students and graduates. It is a national competition, created to teach students disciplines such as: Forensics, Intrusion detection, Security operations, System and network penetration testing, and Application penetration testing. This competition was divided into three rounds, starting with over 13,000 people. I was one of 100 finalists to win a full SANS Applied Cybersecurity Scholarship. This scholarship includes GSEC, GCIH, and GPEN which will all be completed before graduation. Through this opportunity I have learned skills and gained experience with practices such as wireshark, powershell, linux, SQL and SQL injections, command line injections and exploiting vulnerabilities in web apps and networks.
