In my current capacity, I play a key role in work instructions, process flow, PFMEA, and control plan development. A major component of my current role is the assignment of tasks to our team members in a manner that efficiently and repeatedly produces high quality products. I also have final say in our facilities liability for quality issues, cost recovery approval, and validation of all outbound product. I champion all corrective actions and responses to legitimate quality complaints.I participate in weekly KPI reviews at the executive level and have lead responsibility for plant level continuous improvement targets, overall cost of quality, customer satisfaction, industry standard certification compliance and customer manufacturing process troubleshooting and best practice analysis. I report directly to the VP of strategic development.I am currently employed at AK Tube LLC, a subsidiary of AK Steel, in the manufacture of tubular products for the automotive, power sports, heavy truck, industrial, clean air, and ride control applications. The company consists of 3 facilities in North America and employs 500 people with gross sales in excess of 350 million.
