After High School I attended Midland Technical College for Aviation Studies in Western Australia to complete a Senior Commercial Pilots License, following that I went into the Maritime Industry as an ordinary seaman in order to pay for flight training.After 4 1/2 years in the Australian Merchant Marine Industry (offshore construction-oilfields) I travelled through Europe, following completion of R.Y.A Yachtmaster Coastal Certificate whilst living in London UK, I found work as a private yacht captain in Malaga, Spain.In 1996 I married and moved home to Australia for a short time where my son was born and then moved back to the USA with my american wife. I took a job as a pilot boat captain with the Federal Pilots Association of Louisiana but could not hold a U.S.C.G License at that time as I was not a US citizen.I gained a US Commercial Pilots License and started the aviation career that I am still employed in to this date. I currently hold an F.A.A Airline Transport Pilots License and several aircraft type ratings, and since I took american citizenship in 2006 have completed U.S.C.G 200GRT Master (Inland) marine captains license.In 2015 I completed a Commercial Helicopter License and Turbine Helicopter transition training (Robinson R66) and have recently commenced a home study course for the Airbus A320.In May 2017 I joined Envoy Airlines, a wholly owned subsidiary of American Airlines and flew an Embraer E175 as a First Officer based in Dallas Fort Worth TX. I upgraded to Captain when my seniority within the company permitted in December 2019 and was based in Chicago IL for several months before being able to bid back to Dallas TX, where I remained until January 2020 when I resigned to pursue a career advance opportunity.Unfortunately the Covid 19 epidemic and subsequent economic downtown has impacted my profession and career substantially.In October 2021 I was hired by Breeze Airways as a First Officer on the Embraer E190/195 and after 4 months upgraded to Captain where I am happily employed currently, based in New Orleans LA.
