Project management between Japanese clients and English-speaking engineers for multiple software projects. From writing design specifications, coding, to testing, I ensured that our solutions matches the requirements of our clients in the marketing and pharmaceutical industries. Major projects include an accounting application for facilities that is used to track expenses and manage patients. Built in ASP.NET C#, SQL Server, and ran on Microsoft Azure architecture, this application confirms to Japanese accounting law with its accounting modules and external integrations with SAP and other internal systems.Another project is an interview and survey platform for market research purposes. Built with microservices architecture in mind, the frontend is managed by a React Next.js application while the BFF and backend modules are written in Python. Hosted and leveraging many Amazon Web Service products, this platform also integrates the Agora real-time video conference platform and includes credit-card payment integrations with several payment gateways.My final project was an advertisement creation application for e-commerce tenants in React (TypeScript) and Django (Python). The project also leveraged Google Cloud Platform, Google BigQuery, and used Argo Workflows to manage its k8s orchestration.

I developed a web application from scratch in AngularJS and NodeJS that was used to communicate with the existing API web service. I also developed functionality and tests for the SeqWare Query Engine in Java, an open-source RESTful web service used for storing and searching sequence data on the cloud. Additionally, I also did a feasibility study on the current state of the ADAM bioinformatics data format and presented it to the whole team.

I developed functional tests using the IBM Rational Functional Tester for the automated testing of DB2 installation UIs, in Java. I also created Bash and Perl scripts for automated bucket testing of DB2 functionality. Lastly, I verified the installation script of DB2 on different supported platforms, such as Linux and Windows.

My responsibilities included maintenance, production releases, and adding features to the central Oracle database using PL/SQL. The mission-critical database was used for variable annuity calculations and business operations. I coordinated the updates with the IT team on a patch-by-patch basis and developed features for the central internal web UI using ASP.NET C# that served as a main base for financial calculation reporting jobs. I wrote unit tests for the respective C# and financial C++ applications while using RhinoMock and Google Test frameworks. One achievement accomplished was optimizing a critical database reporting job, reducing its runtime by 85% using, changing an overnight run to an hourly run.

Waterloo, On

I contributed to the development of new features for the web application using Microsoft's ASP.NET MVC framework in C#. The application, named the Events and Resource Administration, is used as a platform for organizing volunteer recruitment, events, and training throughout the university. We used Microsoft SQL server for our backend and used Windows Team Foundation Server for collaboration. We also collected feedback from end users on how to better suit their needs in the web application.
