I am a graduate of IIT with a Bachelors in Architecture and over three years of professional experience working in architecture. I am interested in working alongside experienced professionals as I further develop my skills as an architect. I strive to be a valuable member of any design team and will work hard when given the opportunity to produce quality projects that I can be proud of. At FitzGerald, I earned valuable experience working alongside talented professionals on a variety of projects. I was responsible for the production of project documents, developing and maintaining 3D Revit models, and participating in consultant coordination and collaboration. I assisted in construction administration tasks such as submittal review, RFI coordination, field reports and maintaining document logs through the entirety of the CA phase of an affordable housing project in Chicago. During my role, I learned to produce quality drawings in short timeframes and create effective design solutions to meet client needs. Working as an architectural intern at John DeSalvo Design helped me develop valuable skills in communication and teamwork. I worked directly under the principal architect in all stages of the design process. I created bid documents and coordinated between clients, contractors, and city officials throughout the bidding and construction phase. I developed presentation drawings and renderings using programs such as AutoCAD, Rhino 3D, V-Ray, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite. I also attended client meetings and verified onsite existing residential and commercial spaces to prepare base drawings.At the Illinois Institute of Technology, I was the president of a student organization for a cappella and was a musical director the year before. Singing is a passion of mine and it was a great experience for me to be able to develop skills in leadership, organization, event planning, and social media. I led an executive team and organized weekly meetings to accomplish tasks. I ran events throughout the year and communicated with school resources to acquire funds needed for new equipment.
