    Projects completed:Design and implementation of a replacement data storage and backup architecture utelising NettApp.WAN, Internet Gateway & VPN migration.After identifying potential annual cost saving of 30k I migrating inter site links and internet connectivity from BT (through outsourcer Atos) to Virgin. It was necessary to move the organisations primary internet gateway from a shared managed solution in the Atos datacenter in house as well as the VPN solution. To the existing solution I added URL filtering, integrated threat control & QOS.Data warehouse and EDIThis project naturally divided itself in half. I was in charge of the building of a full data warehousing system and EDI messaging system on top of the existing Siemens system. For this I fulfilled several sub roles as in house technical lead and primary contact with Siemens. I took the project from initial examination of M&S requirement, mapping of current business practices, planning, and creation of project functional specification though to delivery.Creation of virtualisation environment (VM ESXi 4.1)Implemented Sophos enterprise antivirus (multi-site) and rollout of the client to 500 devices.Setup of WSUS servers and rollout of 2 years backlog of updates.Other activates include: Budget writing, long term and strategic planning, crisis management, contract negotiations, support to 3rd line, identification of single points of failure, group policy creation and administration, creation of logon scripts, managing contractors, SAP admin and advising to purchasing manager on phone system renewal.

    I was brought in to provide 2nd and 3rd line support during an NT to XP role out and back office (Server) refresh project for associated Octel. This involved working within a team of four, supporting a user base of 600 users across 3 physical sites. Whilst at Octel I administered the domain using Exchange Manager, User/Server Manager and Active Directory. During the three month transitional stage between NT Server and Server 2003, I was solely responsible for user account management and access rights within active directory. In addition I was responsible for the installation and configuration of existing and additional network printers including assigning IP addresses and setting the DNS fully qualified domain names.
